10 WWE "Divas" Who Missed The Revolution

10. Mickie James

Obviously the first pick for this collection, Mickie James proved at NXT Takeover: Toronto that she could go toe-to-toe with the notoriously stiff Asuka, and was capable of far more than the kicks, slaps, and lesbian-pollen angles she was limited to in her WWE run.

This may have come as no surprise to those who watched her rise from the early days alongside CM Punk and Julio Dinero in Raven's NWA-TNA stable The Gathering, but to many fans she is just remembered as Trish Stratus' crazy stalker, or the victim of Layla and Michelle McCool's weird bullying angle. If anyone thinks the current presentation of women in WWE isn’t a step forward, remember Piggie James?

Speaking of horrendous angles, Mickie James could have quietly disappeared into obscurity following the James Storm and Magnus feud last year in TNA, which included the infamous train tracks moment.

Takeover showed that when you throw out the ridiculous angles and just let the story be told in the ring, Mickie James has what it takes to hang with the best.
