The then-WWF was a strange place in 1995 - it seemed for all the world that the colour had been drained from the promotion, as production qualities took a noticeable dip from the early-90's, and the roster wasn't quite as (ahem) big as it had once been, both in quantity and body mass. Kevin Nash, competing as Diesel, was a weird amalgamation of the old guard and the "New Generation". Nash certainly had the size that Vince McMahon always craved in a champion, but wasn't quite the hulking beast of those coming before, pun intended. As for Bret Hart, he was ever-dependable, and both men always had enjoyable matches. Perhaps a better one was to come at the 1995 Survivor Series, but don't discount the effort at the Royal Rumble, which was a show-saving encounter.
