2. The British Bulldog

Throughout the '80s and '90s, the British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith was a regular sight in the World Wrestling Federation. Not only on the various television programs, but action figures, video games, magazines, and posters all bearing Bulldogs' likeness appeared over the years.

Whether as one-half of the trailblazing tag-team with The Dynamite Kid or later as the Union Jack-clad singles star, Davey Boy Smith was a contender for all three major titles in the WWF. When thecompany expanded their offerings by introducing a new European Championship in 1997, Davey Boy was crowned its first incumbent.

Despite his prolonged success, the Bulldog was only featured in the WWF main event scene for a cup of coffee. Whether against Bret as a one-off rematch to their legendary SummerSlam bout or as an emergency backup program with Shawn once Diesel and Razor split, Bulldog's time in the main event could not be sustained. Still, he's fondly remembered for his impressive physique, his in-ring skill and, of course, his legendary ribbing.
