Whilst Shane Douglas was an underground darling in ECW, his Dean Douglas days in the then-WWF were forgettable and only memorable for his nails on a blackboard and a cup of coffee with the Intercontinental Championship. In amongst his WWF stint, though, was a falling out with Shawn Michaels and The Kliq which we all know is never a good thing. With HBK the reigning IC Champ, there was talk of having Dean Douglas get a run with the WWFs secondary title. Michaels shot down any chance of working a programme with Douglas and has gone on record to say, He was a dirtsheet hero. They built him like he was the second coming, but he had little talent. A bad match with 1-2-3 Kid followed, and stories circulated that The Kliq would purposely have botch-filled matches with Douglas to make him look bad. Many have claimed that Michaels milked his real-life injuries (from the infamous marine beat down) in order to forfeit rather than lose the gold, and whilst Douglas would be handed the IC belt, hed also lose it the very same night to Razor before Shawn won it back a month later. Either way, Dean Douglas had run afoul of The Kliq and his WWF days were numbered.
