When it comes to CM Punk, there are plenty of stories out there that say Shawn Michaels and Triple H were totally against the Straight-Edge Superstar from the get-go. According to former WWE creative team member Court Bauer, One time, Triple H along with HBK buried CM Punk. I think it was his 2005 try out. Maybe he didnt know the name and wasnt familiar with who it was, but they buried him. They annihilated his look and his work, and Im like, You just sunk the guy in front of the Chairman! That comment came out earlier this year, with Michaels quickly moving to deny the whole thing. The thing is, there are several other supposed witnesses who back up Bauers story. There were also some stories coming out after Survivor Series 2006 that claimed HBK and Hunter were pissed at the huge crowd reaction Punk got as part of Team DX against Team RKO. Whether Shawn ever flat-out refused to do business with Punk, well never know, but its a massive shame that the two never got to have a match against each other. Luckily, we did get to see Punk and his Nexus brilliantly berate HBK on a 2011 episode of Raw.
