10 WWE PPVs That Aren’t As Good As You Remember

7. WrestleMania XIV

WWE

What You Remember: The Undertaker's first meeting with scorched brother Kane, Steve Austin's ascent to the summit of the industry, Mike Tyson socking Shawn Michaels post-title loss and more. It was WrestleMania XIV, and the WWF deemed it "The Greatest PPV Attraction Of All Time".

Reality: 'Mania XIV is only worth firing up on the Network to see Austin's win and Tyson's punch.

The high-flying Taka Michinoku vs. Aguila fare is something WCW were doing better with their Cruiserweight division, and other bouts like Triple H vs. Owen Hart, The Rock vs. Ken Shamrock and the Tag-Team Title 'Dumpster' match were average at best.

'Taker vs. Kane, at 17 minutes, was also a little too long. It was more build and spectacle than in-ring classic, to be fair, but shouldn't get a pass just because of that. When viewed in full, this WrestleMania just lacks so much grandeur and matches worth returning to.
