There was always something cool about the No Mercy name. It was so nifty in fact that the then-WWF decided to use it twice in 1999 alone. The first time was for a UK exclusive pay-per-view, and the second was when management decided they liked it enough to make it an annual show. No Mercy stuck around until 2008, when the last event was headlined by Chris Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels. Just like that epic Ladder Match, No Mercy deserves to be seen again. It could become a tag line of sorts for The Authority in response to Shane McMahon's reappearance. Vince, Stephanie and Triple H would be so keen to get rid of Shane's influence that they would claim they are willing to show no mercy whatsoever on him at the upcoming pay-per-view. This could pave the way for Triple H vs. Shane, or perhaps it would just represent a catchy title. It's a lot more striking than Fastlane, or even Extreme Rules. There's something dangerous about No Mercy, and it'd be great to see it back in the WWE cannon as a proper standalone event. It's been almost 8 years, and that would help the event feel fresh again.
