The wrestling business is in a tough time right now. World Wrestling Entertainment is going through this month and the next few months without WWE Champion Brock Lesnar on any of the shows. Let's not pretend like this is the only year where it's happened. It happens all the time. Remember last October? Big Show ended a WWE Title match between Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan. Then Orton/Bryan had a HIAC match with so much interference, which included Shawn Michaels costing Bryan even though Michaels had no intention of turning heel. Big Show ended up as the top contender to Orton's WWE Title at Survivor Series, which the fans didn't like. It was awful. Things will get better in WWE because frankly they can't get much worse. Three hour episodes of Raw feel like a chore to sit through as fans wonder when we can get the two hour show back just so we don't have to sit through three hours. The hope is that once the new year comes, WWE shows will improve. That's usually the case. Hopefully the improvement happens sooner than January, but don't be surprised if the rest of 2014 is a struggle because that's just how it is whether we like it or not.
