6. What Match (Or Show) Got You Into Wrestling?

Weirdly, the show that got me into wrestling actually occurred before I started watching it. I tuned in shortly after King of the Ring 2000, and the only reason I remember this is because of the recap videos that played over the ensuing weeks. One of my earliest memories of wrestling is the still image of The Rock standing over a motionless Vince McMahon, having scored the pinfall in a six-man tag against the chairman, Shane, and losing champ Triple H.

I didn't actually see the match itself until many years later, but the video packages stuck in my mind.

I don't think they exactly had the desired effect, sadly. Instead of viewing The Rock as an anti-authority hero, I felt sorry for Triple H. He wasn't even pinned!
