10 WWE Stars In Desperate Need Of A Turn
3. Triple H
This is a tricky one. While Triple H has never really struggled in the face role, he's always been more readily accepted as a heel.
His 2012-2013 feud with a still-white-hot Brock Lesnar was proof enough of that - the crowd reactions to his shine and comeback spots were lukewarm at best. He might have even beaten his own record for 'most silent WrestleMania crowd', achieved during XXV, with his match against the Beast in New Jersey at 'Mania 29.
His Authority character too, while incredibly counterproductive at times, is nonetheless very easy to buy into. Like many of the best wrestling gimmicks, it is an extension of his real life personality. Even when he's doing his best work, though, he can't help but let his ego get the best of him.
At a time when Roman Reigns needed all the help he could get, in the build up to his title triumph at 'Mania 32, HHH should not have been appeasing his own Attitude Era fans by crotch-chopping the beleaguered Samoan all over the place.
There may be value in transitioning Trips to a Jack Tunney-esque role - only dragged out of the office when a heel commits a particularly heinous act, for which sledgehammer-assisted retribution is needed...
