While fans complain about the state of WWE at the end of 2015, the more rational observers can see that Vince McMahion is in fact preparing his roster for big successes in 2016. What's going on right now is Vince laying the ground work and setting the foundations to enable new stars to break out in future. Like it or not, WWE can't be giving storyline pay-offs all the time. Yes, things right now are revolving around an unpopular heel champion, and the rest of the card is a bit directionless at times, but maybe what is actually going on is the calm before the storm. Vince McMahon made comments (on the Steve Austin podcast) last year about "Millennials" and how today's generation of fans expect instant satisfaction all the time. We live in an on-demand society, but that's never been what pro wrestling is about. McMahon's successes are built on lengthy investments of time and long storylines that provide their ultimate pay-off at events like WrestleMania. Right now there are several talented wrestlers that fans perceive to be on WWE's back burner. The reality is that many of these supposedly overlooked wrestlers are being primed for substantial pushes in 2016. The turn of a new generation is about to happen, with some real talents about to get their big opportunities.
