Nobody who lived through the original Sin Cara's awful debut run in 2011 would've believed at the time that the character would still be around in 2019. Now, it probably dies with the release of Jorge Arias, otherwise known as the second man under the mask. He requested his own release from WWE on 8 December.

He can at least look back on a better run than his predecessor Místico.

Arias successfully revived the Sin Cara name as part of The Lucha Dragons tag-team with Kalisto, but he wasn't doing much worthwhile as a singles star recently. AEW would be a great landing spot for him, and so would the reborn NWA, though he seems to have hitched his wagon to AAA in the short term, now under the name Cinta de Oro.
