10 WWE Stars Who Desperately Need To Switch Brands
5. Goldust
At age 48, Goldust's best and most athletic days between the ropes are behind him - but anyone who thinks the veteran competitor and revolutionary character cannot contribute to WWE programming at this point are criminally underestimating how good the second-generation wrestler behind the paint truly is.
A performer who has repeatedly proven capable of adapting himself to fit the times he is in, Goldust can capitalize on the "Land of Opportunity" mentality that SmackDown has repeatedly touted, and embark on last great run.
Much like Jinder Mahal rose to relevance, and subsequently the WWE Championship, a cerebral and calculating Goldust who is mysterious and enigmatic could make for a unique and interesting addition to the blue brand roster.
On a show consisting of a bunch of characters that can best be described as "just guys," the flair and pageantry of Goldust, coupled with his ability to play mind games with his opponents, would give SmackDown a dose of originality and set the Golden One apart from his peers.
With a little attention from Road Dogg and the rest of the writing team, the veteran competitor could easily create headaches for AJ Styles as a ruthless and manipulative heel or Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn as a fan-favorite babyface.
