10 WWE Stars Who Were Worthless Intercontinental Champions

By Tom Gibbs /

3. Albert

Does anybody remember Albert as Intercontinental Champion? Anyone at all? If so, then you have a very good memory of a wrestler who had a very unmemorable Intercontinental Championship reign. Albert, who was teaming with Test at the time, soon got a chance to compete in some singles title matches as well. Albert eventually separated from Test and in 2001, during the Invasion period, Albert joined up with X-Pac and Justin Credible to form the group X-Factor. Albert took on Kane for the Intercontinental Championship on the June 28th edition of Smackdown that year and, with a little help from Diamond Dallas Page, pinned Kane to win the title. Albert would hold the title for a little less than a month before losing it to Lance Storm on an episode of Raw.
Afterwards, Albert€™s position in WWE slowly spiraled downward. He would team up with various other superstars such as Scotty 2 Hotty, Big Show, and Brock Lesnar before getting sidelined with a torn rotator cuff and eventually being released from WWE in 2004.
