Jinsei Shinzaki was an anomaly on the WWF roster of 1995. Going under the name 'Hakushi', the Japanese wrestler was a tremendous in-ring performer, but the promotion never seemed too intent on pushing him into the main event scene. Working awesome bouts against the likes of Bret Hart that year, Hakushi also had a corker with Sean Waltman at SummerSlam 1995. There are a few opening matches on this list, and this stands out as one of the best. Neither man was the most over at the time, but they left to some serious applause from fans. When Vince McMahon was crowing on about the 'New Generation' in the WWF, this must have been what he meant. Federation fans were clearly enthralled by this kind of action during shows, which only made the Diesel vs. Mabel main event all the more frustrating. Hakushi wouldn't last all that long in the company, he was gone by the following year. That's a shame, because he was tailor-made to have more good matches. Opponents such as Shawn Michaels, for example, would have been brilliant. As it turned out, The 1-2-3 Kid was an ideal opponent for him, and the SummerSlam bout really seemed ahead of its time.
