Sting's last appearance on WWE television saw the 56-year-old superstar battle Seth Rollins for the WWE Championship at Night of Champions, with Rollins picking up a win in a bout where Sting looked particularly impressive. Unfortunately, though, the former WCW Champion suffered a serious neck injury toward the end of the bout, with many speculating that it spelled the end for his career. Details on the injury are still sketchy, but interviews following Night of Champions suggest that it may not have been as catastrophic as initially thought. With that in mind, it's a safe bet to expect Sting to return to WWE action in 2016. He may not be ready for WrestleMania, but at some point in the calendar year, he'll be able to compete - maybe he can pick up his first WWE victory in the spring, building him up for a huge SummerSlam match with The Undertaker?
