10 WWE Superstars That Got Over In Losing Efforts
9. Chris Jericho
Chris Jericho has lost his fair share of matches in order to help elevate some of the younger WWE superstars of the future - especially since his shift to part-time status.
While it can be debated whether or not Jericho came out looking better after losing to the likes of Bray Wyatt, AJ Style, and Dean Ambrose, one match in which Jericho absolutely shined in defeat was against his teenage inspiration, 'the Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels.
Not only was WrestleMania XIX one of the greatest 'Manias of all-time, it was also arguably the most star-studded with matches involving Hulk Hogan, Vince McMahon, Brock Lesnar, Triple H, Steve Austin, The Rock, Kurt Angle, and The Undertaker. Yet HBK and Y2J stole the show.
Despite Shawn getting the rare WrestleMania victory, Jericho's star shone bright in Seattle that evening and he left the ring an even bigger star than when he entered.
