10 WWE Superstars Who Desperately Need New Entrance Theme Music
2. Sami Zayn
Sami Zayn is the most under-utilized wrestler on WWE’s roster. You can make that argument for a number of performers but the absolute shambles that has been Zayn’s role over the last 18 months or so is the greatest indictment of WWE creative in recent times. Zayn should have been the can’t-miss babyface of this generation, the new Daniel Bryan that the company doesn’t want but so desperately needs.
Instead, Zayn finds himself as the mouthpiece of a heel trio that is the dictionary definition of ‘under-utilized’. The lack of push for Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro is one thing, but the fact that Zayn has wrestled just one televised match in seven months is preposterous. This is one of the best wrestlers in the company, resigned to talking and little else.
If Zayn is going to be a heel going forward, the boisterous tune that accompanies him to the ring needs to change. His current theme is every bit as babyface-tastic as the man himself should be, a rambunctious call to arms that crowds can sing along to, a joyful song that could quite easily close out a WrestleMania as the new hero holds the WWE Championship high in the air. But we’re not getting that, and Sami Zayn is a heel for the time being. He needs a more dastardly theme to match the persona.
