10 WWE Superstars Who Have Been Hurt The Most By The Wild Card Rule

10. Robert Roode

Robert Roode may be fresh off winning the Raw Tag Team Championship at Clash of Champions and a main event match against Seth Rollins on Raw, but he hasn't always been featured as frequently on WWE TV as he is now.

Many fans were excited what the future held for Roode when he was separated from Chad Gable in the 2019 Superstar Shake-Up back in April because he was long overdue for a singles heel run. Once he changed his name, updated his look and beat Ricochet on Raw, it looked like he was finally going to be booked the way he should have been from the get-go.

It wasn't long before Roode was abruptly dropped from the flagship show, not to be seen for months and months. In fact, he spent most of his time toiling away on Main Event this summer. It was a complete waste of his talent and it was almost unbelievable that a Superstar of his caliber would be getting that type of treatment.

Unfortunately, a lack of television time on Raw due to the Wild Card Rule was largely to blame.

Paul Heyman taking the creative reins of Raw was the best thing that could have happened to Roode. With Heyman high on The Glorious One, it appears he'll be in good hands going forward.
