10 WWE Superstars Who Must Retire In 2017

10. JBL

It's hard to believe it now but when JBL first stepped into the WWE commentary booth, he was a genuine breath of fresh air and he actually livened up the product.

Nowadays, however, the former Bradshaw has fallen into the trap that far too many on air WWE talent do and rested on his laurels, falling back on stock catchphrases and pop culture references rather than offering any sort of insight into what is happening in the ring. Given that JBL is a former WWE champion (we try and forget his terrible title reign but it did happen), we'd like to hear more analysis of what being in the ring is actually like, rather than lame jokes.

The thing is, with the likes of Mauro Ranallo, Corey Graves, Tom Phillips and now Austin Aries breathing down his neck, you'd think JBL would step up his game. Instead, his position is so protected that JBL seemingly feels no need to improve. We really wish he'd just step away from the desk gracefully in 2017.
