10 WWE Superstars Who Should Be In Money In The Bank (But Aren't)
10. Sonya Deville
With the recent addition of Ronda Rousey to WWE and her star-making performance at WrestleMania, Sonya Deville and her MMA-like grappling have been overshadowed by the former UFC Champion. Deville has been largely absent since the dissolution of the Paige-led group Absolution, but the determined fighter is sure to take advantage of whatever opportunities lie ahead. Unfortunately, this year’s Money in the Bank won’t be one of them.
While it would seem that Deville’s ground-based game would have been at odds with the ladder match, it could have provided an enticing dichotomy to many of the other superstars competing in Money in the Bank. Forgoing the high-risk and often low-reward antics that are typically seen, Deville would have likely utilized her furious strikes and devastating submissions. Just imagine an armbar applied atop a twelve-feet high ladder akin to Chris Jericho’s modified Walls of Jericho submission from years ago.
However, fans of this up-and-coming grappler will have to wait; hopefully, Sonya Deville will make her presence known come next year.
