10 WWE Superstars Who Should Have Been Pushed Harder

By Chris Mueller /

7. RVD

It might surprise you to see a former WWE champion on this list, but if there was ever anyone who deserved to be booked better, it's RVD. Rob Van Dam is known all over the world for being one of the most exciting talents to ever come out of Paul Heyman's camp in ECW. He went on to win numerous titles in WWE as both a singles and a tag team wrestler, but he never quite felt like a main event Superstar.Even when he held the ECW and WWE titles at the same time, it seemed like he was just a placeholder until the title went back to John Cena or Edge. He gets huge pops from the crowd whenever he returns, but he hasn't been looked at as a serious competitor by WWE management for years. RVD seems like the kind of guy who is more than willing to put other people over, which he does frequently when he returns, but he can only lose so many times before his value goes down. It's great that his reputation allows him to come and go as he pleases, but RVD fans would much rather see him treated like the big deal that he is instead of some mid card veteran who loses to whatever guy Vince McMahon thinks is worthy of a push.
