10 WWE Superstars Who Will Never Be World Champion Again

2. CM Punk

It's one of the most debated questions of the past 18-months in professional wrestling. Will CM Punk ever appear in a WWE ring again? The logical answer would surely be yes. Whilst Punk's immediate future lies with the UFC and a 3-fight contract, it's as of yet undetermined how long that will take. It could well be that Punk goes 0-2 in two fights, the second fight bombs and the UFC cuts their losses. It could be Punk goes 2-0 and is with the UFC for the next 5 years. If Punk has proven one thing, however, it's that he knows his draw. An eventual return to WWE one day will prove big business for both parties and as such is the easy favourite to happen. With the bad blood of the past absolute however, the chances of that return involving another run with the belt are slim-to-none. It's fair enough, frankly. Punk's 434-day title reign of 2011-13 leaves him 12th overall combined in the history of the belt, meaning the man has already left his legacy etched in stone.
