10 WWE Tag-Teams That United A Face And Heel
10. The Rock And Chris Jericho
Before you say anything, yes, these guys were a team for a
short period of time.
By late 2001, the WWF had fully acquired WCW and all its property, including its World Championship. As a result, WWF wrestlers were now able to win the prestigious big gold belt, one of whom was The Rock.
The Great One put his WCW Championship on the line against Y2J at No Mercy that year and, in a pretty shocking turn of events, Jericho actually beat The Rock to win the belt. The man who had been looked over so many times when in WCW had finally won their top title, albeit in an entirely different promotion.
The next night on Raw, Rock and Jericho were put into a World Tag Team Championship match against The Dudley Boyz. The two men managed to work together well enough to defeat Bubba Ray and D-Von, thus becoming the new tag champs.
Whilst Jericho’s full heel turn would come at Survivor Series, where he turned on the WWF in their “Winner Takes All” elimination match with the Alliance, he was definitely showing a lot of heelish qualities whilst he was teaming with The Rock and their tag team title loss played into their rivalry, in which they traded the title numerous times.
Oh, and since this was 2001, The Rock was an ultra-babyface, which means they make this list. Which is convenient.
