10 WWE US Title Matches You Should Try To Forget
4. Montel Vontavious Porter Vs. Kane - Cyber Sunday 2007
Cyber Sunday and Taboo Tuesday were two PPV ideas that may have looked good on paper, but in reality made more problems for WWE than they fixed. Giving the audience the ability to book matches essentially on the fly guaranteed a number of awkward matches and shady finishes, and this was arguably the worst example of this.
At Cyber Sunday 2007, the only champions to lose their matches did so in a manner that meant they kept their titles. MVP was one of these, losing to Kane by count-out but retaining the US Championship in the process.
The match itself was six minutes of empty spaces, with Kane showing little interest in winning the title and MVP responding by basically walking out of the match.
On the bright side, Kane beat out for Mark Henry and The Great Khali to compete here, so it could have been much worse.
