4. Alex Riley Wins The NXT Rookie Challenge

This one is just downright bizarre. Fifty four million people re-watched this random segment from the original version of NXT. The reality TV version of NXT. The one where the rookies had to complete ridiculous challenges to prove they had what it takes to be WWE material. Really? This was even a part of one of the series' least watched seasons! The world is weird sometimes.

The challenge featured some very familiar faces to wrestling fans including young versions of Percy Watson, Low Ki, Bray Wyatt, Curtis Axel and eventual winner of the challenge, Alex Riley. The challenge was a simple Power Punch Competition. We've all seen it before: whoever punches the bag the hardest wins. And the prize for such a huge challenge you ask? An appearance on the following week's edition of Monday Night Raw!

The very few people watching at home didn't care, the fans in the stand didn't care and even the commentators didn't care. The only reason watching this clip back and any old clip of this season of NXT for that matter is the product had gotten so bad, Michael Cole on commentary had reverted to taking the absolute p*ss out of everything that happened. Proof that Cole can actually bring something to the table at times.
