10 WWE WrestleMania Losers That Won Long-Term

By Justin Henry /

1. Brock Lesnar (WrestleMania 29)

You might not have considered this one, but it's worth a mention. By the time WrestleMania 29 ended, Lesnar was 1-2 during his WWE comeback, losing to John Cena and Triple H. Not exactly the most optimal use of the prodigal UFC superstar, one who brings legitimacy to a company that craves it. Perhaps after Triple H's ego-stroking win that night, somebody had an epiphany: "Wait, why are we wasting Brock like this?" After that match, Lesnar would go undefeated for two years, ending The Undertaker's streak and mauling John Cena into dust en route to the WWE Championship. As far as part-timers go, Lesnar's maintained a credibly-exiciting aura, and delivers in big matches. Once WWE came to their senses, they let Lesnar be the popular killing machine he was designed to be.
