10 WWE WrestleMania Losers That Won Long-Term

By Justin Henry /

7. Shawn Michaels (WrestleMania 10)

Not the biggest Scott Hall fan (at least at the time), Ric Flair wrote in his 2004 autobiography that Shawn Michaels, at WrestleMania 10, had a great match with the ladder, while Razor Ramon just happened to be in the area. While that's an extremely harsh and inaccurate take, there's no doubt that Michaels benefited the most from the barrier-breaking ladder match in New York City. Michaels worked only as a part-time wrestler throughout the summer and fall of 1994, so that when he did wrestle, it meant a little more. With his novel sheen still strong, Michaels turned the heads of many a fan that would pull for him through his remaining days as a heel, and eventually to the WWE Championship.
