10 WWE Wrestlers Buried By Words Alone

10. Booker T

It's weird how seven words can mean so much. After interrupting The Rock's promo shortly after making his WWE debut in mid-2001, Booker T was simply asked, "who in the blue Hell are you?"

It's not like we weren't used to seeing The Great One give his sparring partners a dressing down either. Rock has always had some the best one-liners in the business, and almost anyone who steps into the ring with him is apt to feel the sharp end of his tongue.

Yet this felt more personal than usual. Having just arrived from WCW, Booker was a wrestler with everything to prove. Banter would have been fine, but the implication that WWE's biggest star hadn't even heard of him was a brutal way to introduce him to his new audience.

This opinion is shared by the legendary Sting too. In subsequent interviews, he cited the treatment of his former colleague as one of the primary things that put him off signing a deal with Vince McMahon, seeing it as evidence that his talents would be misused.
