Does anybody have a clue why Triple H elected to scrap the Ezekiel off-shoot and press the reset button on Eli like this? More to the point, does anyone know why he's teaming with Matt Riddle when it isn't helping either of them?

Seriously though, this is another McMahon habit that Hunter needs to quit mimicking. Randomly ditching your own plans in favour of nothing in particular does not count as character development, nor does it make for fascinating weekly television.

Elias would be well within his rights to knock on Trips' office door and ask why creative decided this was the best strategy for his return. The guy literally burned his guitar in a fire, and now he's back playing tunes like nothing happened.

Worse, he's already going nowhere fast.
