10 WWE Wrestlers Who Got Over Against ALL Odds

10. Braun Strowman

Debuting into a high-profile position can be a two-edged sword in wrestling. Yes, high exposure is great, but if you're not ready for that spotlight and aren't instantly embraced by fans, you can quickly dry out like a worm in the sun. Names like Nathan Jones, The Great Khali, and Sin Cara learned that lesson the hard way, and this Wyatt Family member nearly did the same.

The Monster Among Men, Braun Strowman, hadn't had a single televised match before he was called up to the main roster and placed into the Wyatt Family in 2015. Wow, that's a tough gig.

Sadly, the fans didn't take to him at first. His hulking physique was impressive but he felt shoe-horned into the group, making it tough to root for him. However, things turned around for Braun when he left the family and struck out on his own.

With some clever booking and a few epic stunts (like flipping over a semi-truck), the audience started to buy Strowman as a legitimate beast. This helped to get him over and brought him into the main event, even buying him a run as Universal Champion.

His career is far from perfect, but his rise from such a slow start was impressive.
