10 WWE Wrestlers Who Have Never Been WORSE Than Right Now
10. Lars Sullivan
What a year it has been for Lars Sullivan.
Around Survivor Series 2018, vignettes began airing warning fans of his impending arrival on the main roster. Although an anxiety attack delayed his debut until after WrestleMania, he made quite the impact on the Raw after 'Mania, destroying a recently retired Kurt Angle.
Subsequent demolitions of The Hardy Boyz and Rey Mysterio followed, and Sullivan seemed poised for a run as a monster heel. However, when revelations about racist, sexist and homophobic posts he had previously made on bodybuilding forums surfaced, the wheels began to fall off.
WWE attempted to control the matter by announcing a $100k fine and sensitivity training for the wrestler, but many fans had already lost faith in and goodwill for him.
A disappointing feud with Lucha House Party followed; Sullivan won his first main roster pay-per-view match, but only via DQ, and when he eventually claimed a clean victory over the trio on TV there was a muted crowd reaction.
Sullivan has been missing from WWE since then after suffering a knee injury in that match, and there seems little desire to see him return. Often a layoff means fans will clamour for a wrestler's comeback, but it seems that unless the company does something drastic to shift the narrative with Lars Sullivan, he's tainted goods.
