WWE introduced Chad Gable to the main roster fans as a tag team specialist in 2016. However, the company didn't recognise his singles potential until 2023, when he started chasing the Intercontinental Championship, which continued until 2024. The fans hoped for Gable to undergo a career resurgence as a singles performer, and despite putting on high-level performances against Gunther and Sami Zayn in his quest to capture the title, he remain under-appreciated by the company.
