As the old saying goes, "youth is wasted on the young".

Clearly whoever said that has never seen a WWE SummerSlam, as they would have known that the show's history is teeming with disgustingly young people proving themselves on one of wrestling's biggest stages.

The Biggest Party of The Summer has seen plenty of young, hungry wrestlers stay up past their bedtime to establish themselves in the world of WWE. Some have won championships, some have even main-evented the show, and many of them were in their early twenties when they did so.

The following ten whippersnappers all had matches at SummerSlam before their 24th birthday. Some went onto have many more matches on the show, whilst some got their one and only SummerSlam out of the way early. Either way, getting onto any pay-per-view card for the world's largest wrestling promotion is an achievement, but to get on the second biggest show of the year at such a young age is truly astounding.

So try not to get too jealous as we get down with the kids and find out more about the ten youngest performers in the history of SummerSlam...

10. Sasha Banks

The summer of 2015 was when the "Divas Revolution" slowly but surely kicked into gear. The NXT call-ups of Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Sasha Banks put a renewed focus on WWE's women's division and the company has never looked back when it comes to its female talent. Okay, that might be slight hyperbole but the point is this was a big moment.

The three newcomers joined several existing main roster women and formed three teams - Team Bella, Team P.C.B., and Team B.A.D. The latter consisted of Naomi, Tamina, and a 23-year-old Sasha Banks. Banks was the NXT Women's Champion at the time and represented her team in a triple threat match at Battleground. When SummerSlam rolled around, she represented her team once again in a three-team elimination match at the age of 23 years 6 months and 28 days.

What's even more impressive is that this was the night after Sasha's legendary encounter with Bayley at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn. That match is considered essentially viewing by many fans and the fact that Sasha then had to perform again the next night is a testament to how good she was even at such a young age.
