Dick Beyer was a huge cross-cultural star in Japan, where his matches with Rikidozan (1963) and Toyonobori (1965) remain among the most-watched TV shows in Japanese history, drawing ratings of 64.0 and 50.1 respectively.

Celebrity status aside, he was hugely influential both as a heel and a technician, is widely considered among the greatest masked wrestlers ever, and delivered in-ring masterpieces with opponents as diverse as Giant Baba, Mil Mascaras, and Antonio Inoki.

Why They AREN'T In:

Though Beyer should be a no-brainer in any non-gimmicked Hall Of Fame, he's hindered by his lack of WWE accomplishments.
