What choice did The British Bulldog and Jim The Anvil Neidhart have? After all, their brother-in-law, and close co-worker and stable member, Bret Hart was screwed over in front of millions of fans on pay-per-view. They could either have remained loyal to their family, or loyal to the company who humiliated Bret and have a really uncomfortable Christmas. Following The Montreal Screwjob, Neidhart was essentially buried on TV. D-Generation X offered him a spot in the group (which they booked him to foolishly accept), only to be low blowed by Chyna. Then he had a match with HHH, which he lost, and had WCW spray painted on his back. It was clear that he would be joining Bret in WCW, along with The Bulldog (Owen Hart was not granted his release by Vince). Had the two stuck around in the WWF, they probably wouldnt have received a very good push, so the big money deal offered to them by Eric Bischoff, and the thought of capitalizing off of all the Survivor Series heat had to have seemed like a good deal. It was not. The two did nothing of note in their new home, werent aligned with Bret on-air, and to top if off, Bulldog was horribly injured on The Ultimate Warriors trapdoor. A sad situation all around, but its unfortunate they were ever put in that position in the first place.
