8. Mixing Up The Commentary Teams

Moving away from the action for a moment, WWE kept things interesting and fresh at the announce desk by mixing up the teams throughout the night. The prospect of a six-man booth was somewhat nauseating, so many were relived when the matches were called by four-man combinations of both shows.

This helped the brand loyalty aspect of the show immensely. Hearing announcers working side by side whilst supporting their brand was a nice throwback to the days of the original brand split, where Tazz & Michael Cole would be vehemently SmackDown in the face of JR & The King's Raw. It was a nice touch.

It also continued the relentless bullying of Byron Saxton, a state of affairs that shows no sign of abating. Be a star, WWE.
