When the tears dry and the dust settles on the news of Rosa's retirement, the major thing that most people will remember about her career is the long-claimed belief that she never won a singles match on WWE TV. Many couldn't work out just how a performer could last so long without winning a single match on TV. Even jobbers-for-life like Barry Horowitz and JTG won singles matches (the latter over Chris Jericho, no less).
How could Rosa Mendes fail to do so in almost a decade on TV?
Sorry to burst this particularly entertaining bubble, but Rosa Mendes did indeed win a singles match on television, although you have to go all the way back to February 2011 to find it. Rose took on Layla on an episode of SmackDown, and picked up the win via disqualification after being attacked from behind by Michelle McCool as LayCool continued their journey towards splitting up.
A single solitary win by disqualification isn't exactly something to hang a career hat on, but beggars can't be choosers. Rosa Mendes leaves us with 11 years of happy memories.
