9. Randy Orton

The Viper isn't necessarily somebody who would instantly come to mind when thinking of current WWE performers who could easily transition to becoming a commentator.

Yes, we've all heard the Randy Orton horror stories (keep an eye on your bags, kids - just ask Kelly Kelly) and how he has been a complete d*ck to people over the years. And given his positioning on the card for the last decade, he's one of those talents who needn't work another day in their life once they decide to hang it up. But still...

In recent years, Orton has often come off as a genuine guy in out of character interviews. He's come across as an intelligent, well spoken man with a passion for the wrestling business, who is steeped in tradition and knowledge, and who has an innate likeability to him when he's just allowed to be plain old regular Randy Orton.

His on-screen character may often be formulaic and tired these days, but the more we see of the backstage, real life Orton then the more engaging a presence he becomes, which is something that could be built upon to forge an impressive commentator or analyst.
