11 WWE Superstars Who Were Given Huge Contracts

5. Triple H

At one time blamed by the internet for everything that was wrong with wrestling, recent years (i.e. since this most recent incarnation of the NXT product) have seen the IWC€™s stance start to mellow a little when it comes to Triple H. Still, this year€™s Wrestlemania entrance did The Game no favours whatsoever. Juggling his in-ring career with his executive role, Triple H made over $2.1 million last year as part of a 5-year contract. $1 million of this total was for his role as an in-ring talent. This is a man who wrestles literally a handful of times each calendar year, yet he€™s guaranteed $1 million per year as a performer regardless. Yes, he still makes appearances on a weekly basis as part of The Authority, but it€™s not like he€™s busting his ass in the ring night after night like the rest of the talent roster. That said, whereas Triple H is deemed a part-timer, at least he is a character who appears weekly on television rather than getting the same sort of payday for appearing once every six months or even once a year.
