At one time blamed by the internet for everything that was wrong with wrestling, recent years (i.e. since this most recent incarnation of the NXT product) have seen the IWCs stance start to mellow a little when it comes to Triple H. Still, this years Wrestlemania entrance did The Game no favours whatsoever. Juggling his in-ring career with his executive role, Triple H made over $2.1 million last year as part of a 5-year contract. $1 million of this total was for his role as an in-ring talent. This is a man who wrestles literally a handful of times each calendar year, yet hes guaranteed $1 million per year as a performer regardless. Yes, he still makes appearances on a weekly basis as part of The Authority, but its not like hes busting his ass in the ring night after night like the rest of the talent roster. That said, whereas Triple H is deemed a part-timer, at least he is a character who appears weekly on television rather than getting the same sort of payday for appearing once every six months or even once a year.
