Hip-hop loves professional wrestling. From Big Pun and Nas to Wiz Khalifa and J. Cole, rappers have been dropping pro-graps references for decades, and there are plenty of similarities between the two artforms.

Both reached mainstream attention in the ‘80s, peaked in the ‘90s, and place a huge emphasis on commanding, charismatic performers to capture the imagination and supplement the technical aspects of their respective professions.

This has rarely been more apparent than on this cut from Killer Mike’s 2011 Pl3dge album. The Atlanta MC frames his smooth, confident verses with a series of soundbites from The Nature Boy, equating Mike's own rap persona with Flair himself.
