Arguably one of the biggest homegrown stars in WCW, Goldberg did not come over to WWE when the company won the Monday Night Wars in 2001. Instead, he waited about two years before he made his splash in WWE. Having just defeated €œStone Cold€ Steve Austin at WrestleMania XIX, the Rock came out on Raw to gloat. At that point, he was in Hollywood star mode, not unlike the Miz€™s character €“ just more successful in every way. Just when it looked like Rock would ride off into the sunset, familiar music hit and Goldberg began the long trek to the ring. He declared that Rock was €œnext,€ speared him out of his boots and kicked off a feud between the two.Having one of WCW€™s biggest stars debut the night after WrestleMania and take out WWE€™s biggest star was a huge moment. Goldberg€™s run in WWE would only last for one year, but he would improbably manage to capture lightning twice, getting fans to back him and winning the World Heavyweight Championship.
