In 2004, vignettes began airing for Mordecai, a white-clad saint with vengeful intentions. Beyond the videos and the impressive aural entrance, Mordecai didn't make his mark in the ring, slowly moving (a probable character quirk) through wins over Scotty 2 Hotty and Hardcore Holly on pay-per-view. Mordecai was planned to feud with the contrastingly-dark Undertaker later that summer, but was pulled from the main roster after two months. Part of the problem may stem from the fact that Mordecai was only 6'3, and his presence would have been exposed next to 'Taker. In 2006, he reappeared on the new ECW brand as Kevin Thorn, a vampire flanked by the sinfully-buxom Ariel. The two joined with the ill-fated 'New Breed' that tried make ECW their own, before cleanly jobbing out to legitimate ECW veterans at WrestleMania 23. Thorn kicked around developmental throughout 2008 before leaving WWE behind early the following year.
