12 Signings That Changed The Wrestling World

6. Logan Paul (To WWE)

Celebrities stopping by to throw a few punches, take the odd bump, and then promote whatever it was they needed to sell at that moment in time had become the frustrating norm in wrestling.

It was especially painful during that dreadful Raw Guest Host era in WWE towards the end of the 2000s.

Something seemed to change back when the likes of Pat McAfee and Bad Bunny decided to completely throw themselves into all this pro-wrestling stuff back in 2020/21, however, with the latter's committed performance at WrestleMania 37 and general respect for the business in particular setting a new standard for incoming celebrity bumpers.

And it was a bar that arguably the most famous influencer on planet earth then surprisingly cleared when he decided to have a go at being a WWE Superstar one year later.

Not content with that impressive one-off WrestleMania 38 display, Logan Paul would then remarkably sign a deal with WWE which would see him compete a few times a year in-between the ropes.

Incredible showings he had absolutely no right to produce so early in his wrestling career soon followed against Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Ricochet, with the Prime lad also making history by making a deal with the company to have that very logo slapped down in the middle of the canvas for WWE PLEs - another first for them.

So, not only has Paul's arrival and numerous viral moments helped make WWE a product that feels like its actually connected to the modern day youth again, it's also altered the level of expectations fans have for incoming celebrity competitors.
