4. Steve Austin

Let€™s continue on down the road of smart businessmen. Steve Austin will be the first to admit that he€™s not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to using the ol€™ noodle, but as of late the rattlesnake has proven to be a very smart man when it comes to self promotion outside of professional wrestling. When Austin knew that it was time to hang up the boots for good, he did so without any emotional speeches or showers of confetti. Steve simply had his final match and left the company. For most wrestlers, retirement doesn€™t last too long once the money stops coming in. But Steve has the keen insight to bring his character over to the 21st century through the use of reality shows, social media, and of course podcasting. After starring in a few movie roles, Austin went on to host Redneck Island, a reality show that has been successful over on CMT and is currently about to premiere its third season. From there, Steve entered the world of Twitter and gave the internet wrestling fans all the information they needed on his next ventures. Finally, Austin started up his own podcast called The Steve Austin Show which has since gone on to be one of the most listened to podcasts over at Podcast One. It opened the door for other members of the wrestling community to have their own podcast shows. Steve was ahead of the curve, and that€™s a sign of intelligence.
