2. Batista

Granted, The Animal is back and getting hated on by fans, but in 2010, Batista in two months went from a spotlight-grabbing WWE Champion entering WrestleMania XXVI to a wheelchair-bound quitter who vanished for nearly four years. Beginning with his run with Evolution in 2003, Batista enjoyed a seven-year run of high-profile feuds, numerous main events, six world titles, four tag team titles and a Royal Rumble win in 2005 that kicked off his ascension to the top of the mountain. Make no mistake, there were few who could rival Batista€™s stature during that five-year period, and he was firing on all cylinders as a heel during his last yearBut that still didn€™t top him from leaving WWE in 2010 and embarking on an attempt to be an MMA fighter and acting in some direct-to-video movies. Batista left at a point where veterans like Undertaker and Triple H were slowly phasing out as regular wrestlers and becoming more special attractions, which meant that he could have easily remained a main event fixture had he stayed. Instead, Batista didn€™t make his return until earlier this year, and as fans know, his homecoming was anything but sweet. A series of bad booking decisions and various other circumstances have negated what should have been a victorious return from a four-year stint in the wilderness. And it looks like Batista will head back into the wild in a few days as he leaves WWE (albeit temporarily) to promote his upcoming movie, Guardians of the Galaxy.
