12 WWE Superstars Who Made It Big And Then Just Disappeared

7. John Morrison

Despite the fact that Miz is a former WWE Champion, his former tag team partner John Morrison spent a greater amount of time around the top of the card. Morrison, a three-time Intercontinental Champion, five-time Tag Team champ and former ECW Champion, was a fixture in the upper-midcard, often challenging top-level stars, for the better part of three years. Morrison was known for stealing the show in a lot of his matches and was given several title feuds to keep him front and center. It seemed like he was just one step away from cracking the glass ceiling. Unfortunately for him, it all came crashing down in 2011 at WrestleMania XXVII, where he and Trish Stratus teamed with Jersey Shore€™s Snooki. The story goes that Melina (Morrison€™s girlfriend) was pissed that Trish was taking what should be her spot at Mania, so after Snooki picked up the victory, Morrison gave Trish a €˜cold shoulder€™ during the celebration. Whether you think that incident was the impetus for Morrison€™s downfall, his last seven months with WWE were spent thusly: a title shot at Extreme Rules, nearly three months on the shelf with a legit injury, a three-month losing streak, and a Falls Count Anywhere loss to the Miz on his way out the door. All of this came on the heels of his jaw-dropping moment at the 2011 Royal Rumble and then another strong performance in the Elimination Chamber. Morrison hasn€™t been seen in WWE since, so unlike his former tag partner, he€™s gone from show-stealer and title contender to completely vanished.
