12 WWE Superstars Who Weren’t Drafted (And Why)
12. Gable Steveson
WWE's hype for Gable Steveson hasn't translated into memorable matches or even on-screen appearances. The gold medal winner inked a deal in 2021 and was included in the Draft that year. He was put on Raw, but hasn't become the regular Vince McMahon or Triple H wanted him to be.
It perhaps says everything that Gable wasn't involved in this year's Draft.
Steveson is busy training for the 2024 Olympics, so it'll be another while yet before fans see him inside WWE rings. At this point, some are beginning to wonder if that'll ever happen. Any buzz WWE whipped up in the mainstream media has certainly died down due to the total lack of movement on his pro career.
Technically, Gable is still signed to a WWE deal, but his immediate future isn't on Raw or SmackDown. It'll be in the gym getting ready for summer games in Paris next year. Hey, WWE has their very own "draft bust"!
