8. WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match: Dean Ambrose Vs. Triple H - Roadblock

Dean Ambrose had come within inches of winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the Royal Rumble, his dreams of greatness dashed by Triple H. At Roadblock in Toronto, The Lunatic Fringe sought to rectify that defeat, unseating The Game as the top dog in the industry.

To do so, he would target the legs of his opponent early, playing on The Game's past quadriceps injuries. A Figure Four out of a Pedigree attempt accentuated the pain in the lower limbs of the champion. Unfortunately for Ambrose, he lost control of the match when The Game sent him crashing into the ring stairs and began targeting the core of his opponent.

What looked like a traditional wrestling match descended into an all-out brawl, drawing chants of "this is awesome," winning fans back after a screwy non-finish that saw Ambrose pin Triple H, only to have The Cerebral Assassin's foot draped over the rope.

The champion retained, as everyone expected ahead of the event, but The Lunatic Fringe again looked like a Superstar flirting with greatness. Though it would be a few more months, the runner of the asylum would finally get his opportunity to run with wrestling's greatest prize, performances like his one against Triple H the reason why.
