12. Macho Man Randy Savage vs. Ricky The Dragon Steamboat 2 WrestleMania 4
Its kind of hard to get in the ring and top a performance that is widely considered one of the greatest matches of all-time, but if any two professional wrestlers could do it, its Randy Savage and Ricky Steamboat. After losing his Intercontinental Championship to Steamboat in their classic at WrestleMania 3, Savage soon became a fan favorite. Heading into WrestleMania 4, he was chosen by Vince McMahon to win the tournament for the vacant WWF Championship. Savages path to championship glory saw him win four matches against opponents Butch Reed, Greg The Hammer Valentine, One Man Gang, and The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase. So why not a rematch with Steamboat? If you look at the bracket, Steamboat and Savage could have met in the second round to give fans a second helping of off-the-wall competition. A babyface vs. babyface showdown between Mach and the guy who pinned him for the Intercontinental title the year before would have been outstanding. Throw in a sportsmanlike handshake after and you've got yourself another WrestleMania Moment. Instead, Greg The Hammer Valentine pinned Steamboat clean in the middle of the ring.
